Growing up we always had a tradition of doing several things... two of which were the advent calendars where you open a little door for every day of december and find a little chocolate surprise waiting for you, the other was St. Nicholas!! On the 5th of December you put your shoes out and during the night St. Nicholas comes and fills them with goodies as kind of a pre-christmas treat! I really need to look up the significance to this tradition, if any of you know it please let me know!! We decided to do both this year and JJ really seems to be enjoying all the festivites!
