I am Thankful!

I just wanted to take a moment at the end of the day and share what I am thankful for. Today has been a great day filled with food, fun and family and I am just sooooooo thankful for mine. Family that is. I am just sooo thankful for a healthy happy little baby boy and a loving and supportive husband. It really is a miracle how blessed we have been this year and I am truly humbled. I sometimes forget the important things and get too caught up in the mondane things that don't really matter in perspective. Today I am taking a moment to reflect on my many blessings and express my gratitude for things that I have been given. I especially wanted the two men in my life to know how grateful I am for them and how much I love them! xoxoxoxoxo

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Best Buds!

So, Baby (the Dog) and Joey Jr. have been getting to know each other recently and they seem to really like each other. I put J.J. in his bumbo the other day and walked in on him and the dog. I couldn't resist posting these cute pics of them making friends, so cute!!

Yummy Fall Recipe

Ok so I love getting new recipe ideas from everyone so I decided I would share one of mine. We had a tradition in my family to eat homemade potato soup every year for Halloween, but it is great for the fall/winter season in general. I hope you all love this soup as much as we do
Bon Appetit!

1 -2 c. chopped carrots

1-2 chopped leeks

Approx. 7 med. potatoes quartered

1 package of meat of choice (ham or sausage works best)

1 package Knorr leek soup mix

3-4 bay leaves

salt & pepper to taste

2 large spoonfuls of sour cream

* Sautee Carrots and leek in butter until golden and moist then add leek soup mix with 1 cup of water and salt & pepper. Add potatoes and rest of water until ingredients are covered. Add bay leaves and bring to boil, reduce heat to medium and let cook until potatoes are soft and meat if cooked, if not add sooner. When potatoes are soft reduce heat to low and mash potatoes with potato masher. Prior to serving add sour cream and stir. Enjoy!!!

Halloween 2008

So, this was Joey, Jr.'s 1st Halloween and he got all dressed up in a halloween outfit and a costume. I don't think he cared that much, but I sure did. Holidays are soooo much more fun when you have a kid. We just had a low key evening greeting trick-or-treaters and eating pizza. We got a bunch of "Awww, look at the baby!!" from the little kids that came to the door, so cute! My little man is growing soo fast, enjoy the pics!

Hallween outfit #1

My little giraffe was taking a break during the photo shoot. I thought the pic was cute.

Awww, my little giraffe!! I was soooo excited about this costume. I ended up finding it at babysrus for $5, and it was the last one PERFECT SIZE!! What luck!

Show off!

Crayon Catastrophe

So, the other day I washed some clothes and when I opened the dryer everything was green!!!!! Ahhhhh... Apparently I washed and dried a piece of a green crayon and it got all over my clothes. So I didn't use the dryer for a couple days until I could figure out how to get the green out. My Mom told me to try Mr. Cleans Magic Eraser and I just have one word.... WOW!! That thing is amazing, I mean it just looks like a regular sponge but it did the trick, so thankfully I can use my dryer again, thanks Mom!!
