Other Happenings...

We have had a good summer, not too busy, not too boring!! It seems toward the end we had a lot of things going on, so I got kind of slack on my postings!! So this post is just kind of a mixture of random pics that I never really know what to do with!! Enjoy! :)

JJ LOVES to read!!! He also has absolutely NO interest in the TV, I guess that is a good thing? Sometimes I really wish it kept him occupied for at least a little bit! I'm sure it will one day!

JJ copies the dog by putting things in his mouth and carrying them around, as illustrated in the pic above... (yes those are tampons...oh dear, into EVERYTHING :) So Silly!!!

Our little climber!! We really have to be watch him with his new found love for climbing on things... (he loves quietly dumping over the laundry basket and standing on top of it) eek!!!

We had dinner with Aunt Michelle just before she headed out to Utah to begin Graduate School to be a Teacher!!!

I just got overwhelmed the other day with how quickly my baby is growing!!! He truly has become a toddler!! I dressed him in this outfit one morning and it just hit me like, Whoa!!! You are big!!! :(

Charleston Trip

We had a great day trip to Chuck town on Monday!! We wanted to squeeze in one last vacation before the end of summer, Abbey headed back to school, and Kelsey goes off to College!!! We had a lot of fun....going to Folly Beach, eating Shrimp n'Grits, walking thru the Market, walked to the Battery, saw goregeous Mansions and did a little shopping!! We were pleasantly surprised with how good JJ was.. He was a perfect angel the whole day just laughing and smiling the whole day, I think he just really enjoyed all of the stimulation! Here are a lot of pics of our fun day!!!

Gorgeous Mansion - we walked what felt like forever because we wanted to tour it at 5pm, but when we got there it was way too expensive!! Oh well the outside was still beautiful!!

We are headed to Charleston, SC in the AM for a quick Vacation before my lil' sister Kelsey heads off to College!! :( We wanted to have a last hoorah before she leaves, so we are headed to chuck town for the day!! Hopefully the weather will cooperate!! I will post pics when we return (Joey has never been, so I am excited to be able to show him how awesome this place is!!)

First Words!!

JJ has really been talking up a storm lately!! I just realized that I have never really posted anything about all of his favorite words! This is really more for me than anything else, but his very first word was of course Dada!!

Followed shortly by..Mama
Then.. Tree!
(he does this funny/cute thing everytime we walk outside where he points up to the trees and says clear as day, "Tree")
- Doggy
- Sippy
- pretty sure I have heard Please once or twice?!
- Abbey
- All time fav word that he says ALL DAY LONG...MOMMY!!! :)

Other than that, he says a bunch of things that sound like things, but can't really say for sure that he is really saying something!!

* The other day though he did the cutest thing that I just have to share. He was walking out of the Bathroom and I was still in it straightening up. He stopped in the doorway turned back toward me, stuck his hand out, and said, "mon mommy, mon!" So cute!! My heart just melted, made all of his crazy destructive, "into everything" moments soooo worth it!!

To my fellow couponers...

HT (Harris Teeter) is having..... TRIPLE COUPONS this week!!!! Oh my goodness so excited!! I am new to the whole couponing thing, but seriously it has become sort of an addiction!! I guess it's a good addiciton to have though :) So, here's the deal they will triple your coupon up to .99 face value!! I say that's pretty good! Last week's Sunday paper had some good coupons so I'm gonna head on over and triple my goodies!!

4 years ago.....

So, Joey and I had a fabulous weekend away. We got to attend our friends Jeff & Tricia's Beautiful Wedding. We also managed to sneak in a few other activities during our mini vaca. It was a really relaxing weekend, we stayed in a nice hotel, ate really well, shopped tax free, and socialized with friends!! On the way back we were just driving along and all of a sudden the DC Temple just popped out at us!! It was gorgeous!! We got engaged there almost exactly 4 years ago to that exact weekend, we didn't even realize that at first. (kinda neat) When we had gone there the first time we didn't see it like that from the interstate because we were coming from a different direction, but I had always heard about that, it was an amazing sight!! We decided to stop, walk around, reflect on the last 4 years and take some pics!! Pretty great ending to a great trip!!

"I Do"

It has been a pretty busy wedding season!! Last weekend we attended a friend's wedding in Raleigh(still need to post those pics..), and this weekend we drove to Philly to attend Joey's longtime friend Jeff and his beautiful Bride Tricia's wedding!! Their wedding was absolutely gorgeous and totally worth the trip!! We had so much fun and really enjoyed getting to spend some one on one time with each other too! This is the first overnight JJ had, so I was a little anxious at first, but he was in very good hands so that was reassuring!! We have the best support from our family!! Thanks ya'll!
