JJ got his first real haircut this week!! His hair was OUT OF CONTROL!! I had trimmed it before, but never a full one cut! I decided that I could do it, instead of paying outrageous prices just for sitting in a cute chair! I have to say I am pretty proud of myself, it turned out pretty good!! JJ was more interested in eating the comb, than posing for pics..:)

National Cheescake Day!!

Thanks Facebook Friends for informing me of an oh so delish holiday!! Apparently, today is national cheescake day! Huh? Whoever heard of such a thing?? Oh well, it meant half-price cheescake slices at The Cheescake Factory so I'm lovin it!! We had a girls afternoon out and had dessert for Linner (lunch/dinner :)!! JJ was being so silly and really wanted to get down and walk so Kelsey indulged him for a little bit!!

Couponing....I'm hooked!!

K, so I have to be honest and say that I never thought I would be doing this post!! With that said I have become addicted to this Couponing business!! It is awesome!! It's like christmas to me when the Sunday paper comes!! I got all of this below for only $30!! HT is having super Double coupons this week where they are doubleing coupons up to $1.98!! Cha Ching!! I still haven't run across an Amazing deal like some of my more experienced friends, I need someone to teach me the tricks of the trade!! But for now I am lovin me some coupons!!!

Mr. Independent!!

JJ has not been wanting to eat his food unless he feeds to himself!!! So anything that is not a finger food item has presented a problem. I have been hesitant to let him try himself with a fork/spoon because I just didn't want to deal with the mess!! Oh well, today I caved and he ate almost his whole lunch all by himself with a big boy fork!!! Of course I was jumping up and down like an idiot making a big deal and he was looking around with the biggest grin like, " I think I am doing something good!" I am so proud of my big boy, he is growing up soooooo fast, too fast!! I just love being able to blog about all of these small but special moments all along the way!!

So, all this time I thought he was just being a picky eater and in reality he just wanted to do it himself!!! LOL!! When have an independent one on our hands!!

Crispy Rice Treats!?!?

Abbey and I have been wanting to make Rice Krispy Treats for a while, so tonight we finally did! Man, it was a hot mess, but they were delish!! We used all knock-off ingredients, hence the post title...LOL!! We had a fun day, great dinner and Nummy (JJ's fav word) dessert!!

My Lil' Baller!!

We had a surprise "sweet 16" party for miss Abbey Dabbey this past weekend at Carolina Courts! It was a fun sports themed party and JJ really liked playing with the basketball!! It was kinda difficult keeping him out of the big kids game, but he managed to get a little time in playing!!

Oh, what can I say this movie was Horrible, with a capital H!!! It looked like it had potential for a little bit, but then oh no it was just terrible, biggggggg let down!! Don't waste your dollar at the Red Box Folks!!!

#2- Fake People!!


And No, I'm not talking about Fake hair, fake nails kind because Helllooo?? I'm a Fan!! I'm referring to the I'm nice as pie to your face, talk trash and stab you in the back when you walk away kind!!! Gotta love it!!


#3- Cheating Politicians (Ewwww)

This is the infamous, Mark Sanford, Governer of SC. I so do not feel sorry for this guy, what a Jerk!! After getting a major break by getting off the front page by all of the other current events (aka Death of Michael Jackson) He had to continue to stick his foot in his mouth and make idiotic statements like, "I am going to try to fall in love with my wife again." Awww how nice of him!! NOT!! This is after he totally dissapeared with his mistress in Argentina for a while!! Cry me a River Sanford!!!!

#4- Long Lines

Oh my goodness, we recently had to go to the passport office (with a toddler) and the line was loooonnnnngggg!!! We waited and waited and waited, not fun! This pic explains it all!

Trader Joe's

Today I had what my friend Jamie lovingly likes to refer to as a "Candace Moment." It's been a while since I've had one, so I guess I was due!! The location was my new Fav G-store, Trader Joe's!! I have been shopping there for a while, but lately I have just really been discovering how awesome it really is!! Plus, my hubby likes the healthier substitutions too, so that is a double bonus!!! Anyway, I stayed at home most of the day today, but then just needed to run out to buy a few things at TJ's. I just grabbed my purse and my other accessory, JJ :) and out the door I went! I went thru the store picked out my items (also had a return) and made my way to the cash register. The cashier proceeded to ring everything up and then took off the returned items for a grand total of approx. 5 bucks!! I reach into my purse to retrieve my wallet.......... Oh no!!!!! It's not there! I then recall that earlier in the day I had consolidated my "essential" purse items into the diaper bag, b/c I went out to lunch with Kelsey. Now, keep in mind, there was like 5 peeps behind me at this point, so I was totally embarrassed and THAT PERSON!!! I really just wanted to put my head between my legs and walk out! JJ was also being as loud as possible, singing,, talking and pointing at things. Anyway, they had to call the manager over twice with there signature bell they use, which adds to the, "all eyes on me" factor. Finally, the manager just said he would consider it a "giveaway" and I got the grocery's for FREE!!! Double embarrassing!! It was great customer service, but I felt bad!!

Moral of the story, Trader Joe's is a fantastic grocery store with excellent, organic products and great customer service!! After this incident today, I will definitely be a customer for life!!!!

Hallelujah.... Wes is gone!!

Oh my goodness I am so disturbed by this character, Wes, on this seasons Bachelorette!!! Poor Jillian, she has just run into all kinds of problemo's!! He definitely gets the award for being worst, most outrageously, unbelievably jerkish contestant (cause he's not a bachelor) ever!!!!! Thank goodness he is gone, it's about time!!! I hope this backfires on his precious career!!! (is that too mean?) Seriously, though I am getting very frustrated with the Bachelor/Bachelorette series.... How much of this garbage are they allowing for ratings and how much is just the luck of the draw, it's so unfair! Oh well, I'll prob keep watching... no matter how mad/frustrated it makes me, I always get sucked back in.... :)

If you are a Fan....

Of the show Big Brother..... It is finalllllly coming back to primetime, this Thursday, July 9th!!! I love big brother and Joey and I both get sucked in to all the juicy drama! It's a great thing that we will have another show to watch during our weekly line-up, but not great because it will be yet another show that will be keeping me from accomplishing other tasks that need to get done! Oh well, some other day, some other time... Happy watching!!!

One year ago today....

We brought our sweet baby boy home from his two month stay at Presbyterian hospital. It had been a long and trying time for us that had finall come to an end! It was truly a surreal day. I can remember the feelings that Joey and I had like it were yesterday! I will never forget the way I felt as we were checking out how grateful I was to finally be able to take my baby home! I kept waiting on someone to tell me, "no wait we forgot something." Or something that was going to prevent him from really being able to come home! It was like the best dream ever, except it wasn't a dream. For days and months I had to to leave my baby every single night and go home while he stayed at the hospital because I knew that I had to be patient and wait for him to grow bigger and stronger, but that was truly the hardest thing that I have ever gone through. It never got easier and I will forever remember this day July 4th for two reasons now!! So happy 4th of July everyone from our family to yours!!!

Just so ya know...

Nordies is having there BIG Annie-versary sale on, drum rull please.................. July 17th!!! According to one of there employees, this is big!! So, basically YOU CAN'T MISS IT!!!! I have my calendar marked, because I am actually on the hunt for a few items for some upcoming events/weddings! Hopefully, I will find something beauty-ful and cheap!! That is my fav combo! Anywho, just thought I would share the info!! Have a happy 4th!!!
